Kulla e Galatës në Turqi
Galata është emri i mëparshëm i lagjes Karaköy në Stamboll , e cila ndodhet në bregun verior të Bririt të Artë . Lagjja është e lidhur me lagjen historike Fatih nga disa ura që kalojnë Bririn e Artë, më e rëndësishmja Ura e Galatës . Kështjella mesjetare e Galatës ishte një koloni e Republikës së Gjenovës midis viteve 1273 dhe 1453.
Kulla e famshme e Galatës u ndërtua nga gjenovezët në vitin 1348 në pikën më veriore dhe më të lartë të kështjellës. Galata tani është një lagje brenda rrethit Beyoğlu në Stamboll.
